The Tucumcari Police Department is currently running its Super Blitz. From today through July 15 there will be DWI checkpoints and seatbelt and child restraint enforcement, said a Tucumcari Police Department spokesperson.
The Village of Logan will have three officers on duty today and will be assisted by the New Mexico State Police and Quay County Sheriff’s office for traffic, said officer in charge Bob Gore.
“There has been a steady flow of incoming traffic here in Logan,” said Gore on Friday. “We are expecting a large crowd of people to come in for the holiday.”
The following offices will be closed for the July 4 holiday in Quay County: City offices, county offices, U.S. Post offices and financial institutions.
