07-18-2007: Police Blotter

The following is a sample of calls received during the last few days by the central dispatch office for Quay County, based at the Tucumcari Police Department. According to reports:

Friday
• At 4:29 p.m., a male reported a burglary at a office on East High Street. An officer was told some paperwork had been moved around and that $80 had been taken.
• At 10:42 p.m., state police called for assistance at a domestic dispute on South College Street. A female was arrested for resisting arrest and obstruction of an officer.

Saturday
• At 7:23 a.m., a male reported vandalism at a residence on South Sixth Street. An officer advised that a tire on a vehicle had been slashed.
• At 9:17 a.m., a male reported vandalism at a fuel station on West Route 66. An officer advised that nine windows had been broken out of the building.
• At 7:42 p.m., a female reported a domestic dispute at a residence on East Turner Street. An officer advised that it was a dispute over property and the dispute was resolved.
• At 9:28 p.m., a female reported a theft at a residence on South Fifth Street. An officer was told that a purse had been taken off the porch. An officer advised the purse was recovered and the money was later returned.
• At 9:40 p.m., a female reported a fight at a restaurant on South First Street. An officer advised that one male subject was cited for battery.

Sunday
• At 6:22 a.m., an alarm was reported a gas station on East Tucumcari Boulevard. An officer advised that all was OK and the manager reset the alarm.

Monday
• At 8:35 a.m., a female reported a domestic dispute at a residence on South Seventh Street. One male subject was arrested for possession of marijuana over one ounce and possession of drug paraphernalia.
• At 9:22 a.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on South First Street. One male subject was arrested and taken to the Quay County Detention Center for a magistrate warrant of violation of conditions of release.
• At 11:48 a.m., a female reported vandalism at a residence on East McGee Street. An officer advised that someone had cut the swimming pool in the front yard.
• At 12:24 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on South Monroe Street. One male subject was arrested for multiple Municipal Court warrants for failure to appear and contempt of court.
• At 12:52 p.m., central dispatch told officer of repeated 911 hang-ups from a residence on East Turner Street. An officer advised that all was OK. A child had been playing with the phone, the report said.
