08-01-2007: Police Blotter

The following is a sample of calls received during the last few days by the central dispatch office for Quay County, based at the Tucumcari Police Department. According to reports:

Saturday
• At 2:25 a.m., a male reported a possible fight at a residence on South Rock Island Street. An officer made contact with the residents and advised that the problem had been resolved.
• At 3:23 a.m., a female reported an unwanted subject at her residence on East Smith. An officer advised that a male subject was asleep on the porch and was told to go home.
• At 4:01 a.m., a female reported vandalism at a residence on South Third Street. An officer advised that a window had been broken.
• At 9:58 a.m., a female reported a burglary at a residence on Highway 252. An officer advised that six guns had been stolen from the residence and an investigation is under way.
• At 2:54 p.m., a female reported a dispute at a residence on South Fourth Street. An officer advised that it was a verbal argument only and the subjects had resolved the problem.
• At 8:06 p.m., a male reported suspicious subjects in an alley way on East McGee Street. An officer made contact with the subjects and advised them to move on.

Sunday
• At 9:03 a.m., a male reported a possible burglary on 540 Loop. An officer advised that all was OK. No entry was made into the residence and nothing was missing, according to the report.
• At 10:07 a.m., a male reported a dispute on South Monroe Street. An officer advised that it was a verbal argument between two male subjects and one male subject had left prior to their arrival.
• 5:06 p.m., a female reported a domestic dispute on East Hines Street. An officer advised that it was a verbal argument between a male and female and the female subject was going to stay with a friend for a few days.
• At 6:44 p.m., a male reported harassment at an apartment on West Hancock Avenue. An officer was told that a male subject was harassing the other tenants. The officer advised the male subject was to return to his apartment.

Monday
• At 10:36 a.m., a female reported a domestic dispute on East Rankin Street. An officer was told that a male subject would not return a child’s car seat to the female subject. The officer advised that the male subject was told to return the property and leave the area.
• At 11:38 a.m., a female reported an unwanted subject at a residence on South Adams. The officer was told that a male subject would not leave when asked. The officer advised that the subject was gone on arrival.
