The Quay County Clerk’s office is conducting early and absentee voting for the Special Hospital Tax Election on Sept. 18.
Voting began Tuesday, said Ellen White, county clerk.
Voters can cast their early ballots on weekdays between 8 a.m. and noon and from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Court House.
Eligible voters may vote in person or request an application to vote absentee by mail by calling the office of the County Clerk.
The last day that ballots will be mailed out is Sept. 12; and they must be received by the County Clerk by 7 p.m. on Sept. 18.
The last day for early voting is Sept. 14.
A person must be registered to vote prior to 5 p.m. on Aug. 21, 2007 to be eligible for this election, White said.
