08-29-2007: Police Blotter

The following is a sample of calls received during the last few days by the central dispatch office for Quay County, based at the Tucumcari Police Department. According to reports:

Friday
l At 5:31 p.m., an officer served a warrant at an apartment on South Seventh Street. One female was arrested for three outstanding warrants.

Saturday
l At 3:52 p.m., a male reported a drunk driver on West Tucumcari Boulevard. An officer pulled over a vehcile on West Tucumcari Boulevard. One female subject was arrested for driving under the influence.
l At 5:45 p.m., an alarm was reported at the college on South Eleventh Street. An officer advised that all was OK that the building was secure.
l At 10:38 p.m., a female reported a domestic dispute at the state park on 540 Loop. An officer advised that all was Ok that it was a verbal arguement and the problem had been resolved.
l At 10:48 p.m., a female reported a domestic dispute on Bass Street. An officer advised that it was a verbal argument only and that the boyfriend had been told to stay away.

Sunday
l At 12:56 a.m., a female reported a disturbance at the state park on 540 Loop. The female told the officer that a male subect was coming by their camp site and causing problems. The officer made contact with the male subject and arrested him for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.
l At 12:59 a.m., a male reported an accident on West James Avenue. One male subject was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
l At 3:51 a.m., a male reported vandalism at a residence on South First Street. An officer advised that a rock had been thrown through a window on the eastside of the residence.
l At 5:41 p.m., a male reported vandalism at the convention center on West Route 66. An officer was told that someone had scratched the roof and doors of a vehicle.
l At 5:45 p.m., an officer requested a warrant check on a male subject walking down Fourth Street. The officer was told by the dispatcher that there was an outstanding municipal warrant. The male subject was arrested and bonded out for the charge of possession of marijuana.
l At 7:49 p.m., an officer reported a fight in the middle of the street on South Fourth Street. Three male subjects were arrested for disorderly conduct and taken to the Quay County Detention Center. One female was arrested for an outstanding warrant from Gaudalupe County.

Monday
l At 1:01 a.m., an anonymous caller reported shoplifters from a fuel station on South First Street. An officer cited one male subject and one female subject for shoplifting.
l At 3:45 a.m., an officer reported an open door at the high school on South Seventh Street. The officer advised that all was OK the building was secured and the door was shut and locked.
l At 7:24 p.m., a male reported an irate customer at a hotel on South Adams Street. An officer advised that all was OK that the problem had been resolved.
l At 11:14 p.m., a female reported a burglary in progress at a residence on South Adams Street. An officer advised that the subject had left prior to their arrival but there was signs of someone trying to force open the front door.
