Services: Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p .m. on Thursday at Dunn Funeral Home in Tucumcari. Funeral services will at 2 p.m. on Friday at the Dunn Funeral Home.
David Allen Paris, of Midland, Texas, died Monday, Sept. 10, 2007.
Mr. Paris was born Nov. 30, 1938 to John Hoyle Paris and Mary Lee Graham Paris in Gallup. On May 21, 1961, he married Patricia Sasser in Tucumcari. A heavy equipment operator and driver, Mr. Paris was with Machen Contractors until he retired in August 2006. He had previously lived in Canadian, Texas, where he worked for Adcock and Prater Dirt Contractor as a heavy equipment operator and driver from 1978 until 1992. From 1992 until 1999 he worked for Canadian Oil & Gas as a transport driver. He was a member of the Church of Christ. Mr. Paris enjoyed entertaining with his many talents as a musician and with his exhilarating humor, his family said.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Jack Johnson, Tommy Johnson, sisters, Jean Johnson, Darlene Johnson, brother-in-law, Joe Henry Sasser, father-in-law, Henry Sasser, and mother-in-law, Dorothy Sasser Davis.
He is survived by: his wife, Patricia Sasser Paris of Midland, Texas; sons, Henry Allen (Roxanne) Paris and John Malcolm (Jennifer) Paris; a grandson, Joshua Allen; granddaughters, Tricia Michelle, Rachel Elizabeth, Hannah Kathleen, Emma Grace, and Faith Elizabeth; brothers, Darrel Johnson and Carl Johnson; a sister, Anna Paris; brothers-in-law, Chubby Sasser and Monty Sasser; and sisters-in-law, Lena Fulks, Kitty Morris, and Verna Cook. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews and many friends .
Memorials may be directed to the charity of one’s choice.
