09-12-07: Police Blotter

The following is a sample of calls received during the last few days by the central dispatch office for Quay County, based at the Tucumcari Police Department. According to reports:

Thursday
l At 6:51 p.m., a male reported a found firearm at a motel on East Tucumcari Boulevard. An officer took the weapon for safekeeping.

Friday
l At 11:17 p.m., a female reported a prowler on South Eighth Street. An officer patrolled the area and advised that all was OK.

Saturday
l At 8:30 a.m., a female reported vandalism at a residence on South Dawson Street. An officer was told that a male subject had slept in the female’s car and ripped up the headliner of the vehicle. The male subject was arrested and taken to the Quay County Detention Center for the charges of criminal damage to property and trespassing.
l At 11:16 a.m., a male reported a theft on West Railroad Avenue. An officer advised that four tires with rims had been taken from the vehicle.
l At 2:40 p.m., a female reported a theft at a motel on East Route 66. An officer was told that a laptop computer had been taken from the storage room.
l At 2:42 p.m., a male reported a unwanted subject at a residence on East High. An officer was told a male subject was passed out on the porch. The officer advised that the male subject was taken home.
l At 9:46 p.m., a female reported a domestic dispute at a residence on South Jackson. An officer advised that it was a verbal argument and that the female was leaving for the night.

Sunday
l At 7:57 a.m., a male reported vandalism on South Monroe Street. An officer was told that the tires on a vehicle had been slashed. The officer advised that there was a second vehicle with slashed tires.
l At 6:10 p.m., a male reported a dispute on South Third Street. An officer advised that it was two male subject that had a misunderstanding and all was OK.
l At 9:30 p.m., a male reported harassment on South First Street. A male told the officer that a male subject had been following him around all day. The officer advised both subjects to stay away from each other.

Monday
l At 12;29 p.m., a male reported an unwanted subject in the alley on South Adams Street. An officer was told that a male subject was going through the trash. The officer advised that all was OK; the subject was cleaning out his vehicle.
l At 4:12 p.m., a female requested an officer at the probation office on East Main Street. An officer transported one male subject to the Quay County Detention Center for probation violation.

Tuesday
l At 8:16 a.m., a male reported vandalism on South Eighth Street. An officer advised that a window on a vehicle had been shot out possibly by a BB gun.

• At 10:45 a.m., a female reported a forgery at a health clinic on East Main Street. An officer was told that a prescription had been changed to include a second medication.
