Diamond time for Bells…
Delmar and Lorrayne Bell of Tucumcari will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on Tuesday. All are invited to celebrate this occasion with Delmar and Lorrayne at a celebration from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m to be held at their residence, west of Tucumcari, and hosted by Jim and Ann Bucher.

Wedding bells to ring…
Roy and Karen Mitchell of Logan are proud to announce the upcoming marriage of their daughter, Della Luticia “Ludy” Mitchell to Jearle Patrick Hawthorne.
The wedding will be at 4:30 p.m. on Sept. 29 at the Southside Baptist Church in Monahans, Texas. A reception will follow at The Barndoor in The South Forty at Odessa, Texas. Hawthorne, of Monahans, is a pipeline welder. Mitchell, also of Monahans, is a graduate of Mesalands Community College with an associate’s degree in education. She is contin zxcvcvuing her studies in equine science.

Constitution Week …
The city of Tucumcari and Quay County have proclaimed Sept. 17-23 Constitution Week. Initiated by the DAR, or the Daughters of the American Revolution, the week is time to highlight the Constitution and its principles of freedom, equality and justice.
