Doris D. Griffin-Morgan, 82, died Thursday, Oct. 4, 2007, at the McCook Community Hospital in McCook, Neb.
She was born Dec. 5, 1924 at Augusta, Kan., to Alvin and Iva (McKitrick) Stapleton. After graduating from high school, she attended St. Rose Nurses Training in Great Bend, Kan. She married Clifford F. Griffin on Jan. 2, 1945 and he preceded her in death in 1989.
She was a homemaker who was active in her church and community. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, PEO, TTT, Genealogy Society and she served on the board of the McCook Library. Before retiring, she worked at Bryan Memorial Hospital and the University of Nebraska in Lincoln.
On March 18, 2006, she married Don Morgan of McCook, Neb., who survives her. Also surviving are three children William (Lynda) Griffin of Tucumcari, Thomas (Patricia) Griffin of Springfield, Mo., and Wesley Griffin of Muskogee, Okla., four grandchildren, Robert, Caroline, Tim and Eric Griffin, two great-grandchildren, two sisters, Lorene Kulbiski of Dodge City, Kan., and Patty Phillips of Wichita, Kan., and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Graveside funeral services will be 10:30 am Saturday, Nov. 10 in the Tucumcari Memorial Park Cemetery.
Rev. Tom Broom of Center Street United Methodist Church of Tucumcari will officiate.
Arrangements are by Dunn Funeral Home.
