This fishing report has been generated from the best information available from officers and anglers. Conditions encountered after the report is compiled may differ, however, as stream, lake and weather conditions alter fish and angler activities.
Fishing was slow-to-fair using crank baits, tubes, drop shot rigs and worms for smallmouth and largemouth bass. A few walleye were taken by anglers using jig and minnow combinations and spoons. The walleye were at depths of 25-to-40 feet. We had no reports of other species.
Fishing for walleye was very good this past week. Anglers did well using slab spoons at 40-to-50 feet. A few smallmouth bass were taken by anglers using tubes, crank baits and jig and minnow combinations. Fishing for all other species was slow. Fishing pressure was very light.
Catches of the week
On Nov. 4, Kathy Leal of Logan caught a 6.37-pound walleye at Ute Lake. She was using a custom Ruf Nec spoon.
