Del’s Restaurant has picked up a 2008 Scovie Award for second place in the canned salsa – hot category for its Salsa de Del’s. Some 783 products from around the world competed for top honors. The awards were created by Dave DeWitt, editor of Fiery-Foods &BBQ Magazine. Wilber Scoville pioneered the rating scale for spicy foods – hence, the Scovie Awards.
