12-01-2007: Police Blotter

The following is a sample of calls received during the last few days by the central dispatch office for Quay County, based at the Tucumcari Police Department. According to reports:

Tuesday
l At 4:19 p.m., a female reported a theft on South Adams Street. An officer was told that a trailer hitch had been stolen.
l At 5:44 p.m., a female reported a theft at a fuel station on South First Street. An officer was told that a male subject took a 30-pack of beer without paying.
l At 9:01 p.m., a male reported vandalism at a retail store on South First Street. The male subject told officers that the back window of his vehicle was broken while he was at the store.

Wednesday
l At 8:01 a.m., an alarm was reported at a restaurant on West Route 66. An officer checked the building and advised that all was OK.
l At 10:52 a.m., a female requested an officer at the probation office on East Main Street. One subject was transported to the Quay County Detention Center for violation of probation.
l At 3:45 p.m., an alarm was reported at a retail store on East Main Street. An officer advised that all was OK and the building was secure.
l At 4:25 p.m., an alarm was reported at a fuel station on South First Street. An officer advised that all was OK they were testing the alarm.
l At 11:02 p.m., a male reported a theft at a lounge on West Route 66. An officer was told that a male subject taken money from the tip jar. The male subject was arrested and taken to the Quay County Detention Center.
Thursday
l At 12:55 a.m., a male reported a burglary attempt at a motel on 540 Loop. An officer advised that a male subject tried to gain access to a motel room and left his ID in the door.
l At 7:55 a.m., a female reported vandalism on South Jackson Street. An officer advised that the back window of a vehicle had been shot out with a BB gun.
