Brand new boy…
Devin Christopher Sandoval was born on Oct. 22, 2007 in Pueblo, Colo. He is the son of Chris Sandoval and Deanne Parra and brother to JenaRae, all of Pueblo. His grandparents are Chris and Rosella Parra of Pueblo and Susan Sandoval of Tucumcari and Eric Sandoval of Rio Rancho. His great-grandparents are Lionel and Clara Martinez of Tucumcari and Richard and Erlinda Sandoval of Santa Rosa and Mary Joe Velasquez of Pueblo. Devin’s great-great-grandmother is Mary Esquibel of Tucumcari, and his aunts are Caroline of Pueblo Erica of Amarillo.
Angels made of clay
It’s hard to believe that this little angel, Clay Huffman, is turning 29, said his wife Cassie Huffman. Huffman and his family, who live in Tucumcari, will celebrate Clay’s birthday on Sunday He is the son of Laurae and Ray Gorman of Logan and Richard Huffman of Arkansas. His wife, son Gage and daughter Haisley as well as his friends, Jarred and Tracy Hardy, brother-in-law Jimmy Miller and Thomas Garcia wish him a happy birthday.
Altrusa’s WofY 2007
Lois Gray Sappington of Tucumcari was recognized as Altrusa’s Retired Woman of the Year.
A graduate of Tucumcari High School in 1971, she went to work shortly after with New Mexico State Police as dispatcher.
She retired with 20 years being served. Some of her favorite things include studying genealogy, collecting antiques, bells and brass items and listening to one of her favorite songs: “Doin’ Something Right.”
