Site set to recycle Christmas trees
In a city beautification effort and to keep Christmas trees out of the landfill, the City of Tucumcari is having a Christmas Tree Recycling Program.

Residents are encouraged to drop off their live Christmas trees (without lights and decorations) at the northwest comer of the baseball field (behind the Convention Center) from now through Jan. 11.

No other debris will be collected – only Christmas trees. Yard waste (tree limbs, grass clippings, etc.) is to be taken to the city’s landfill. The trees will be mulched for use at city parks.

For more information, call Yvette Fazekas at 461-2143 or City Hall at 461-3451.
