Occupatonal licenses due, Ag seminar set for Jan,. 31

The 40th Annual Agriculture and Home Economics Seminar will be Jan. 31 at the Tucumcari Convention Center.
Registration begins at 8 a.m. Programs will begin at 9 a.m. They will feature animal health topics including TB, brucellosis, bovine trichonmoniasis and other diseases; basic soil classifications for Quay County;  feral hog habitat and biology;  “Marketing calves under today’s conditions;” the national animal I.D. program; and other topics.
The featured speaker at lunch will be Dave Fly, the state veterinarian.

Occupational licenses due Jan. 31
The date for all county businesses located outside of Tucumcari, Logan, San Jon, and House to renew their county Occupational License for 2008 was Jan. 2.
Businesses have a 30-day grace period in which to purchase the license, therefore, the deadline is Jan. 31, 2008, according to a press release from the Quay County Clerk’s office.
If the business is no longer in operation, contact the Clerk’s Office know. If a new business has been established in the county, contact the county Clerk’s Office at 300 South Third St. or call 461- 0510 for an application.
