01-12-2008: Police Blotter

The following is a sample of calls received during the last few days by the central dispatch office for Quay County, based at the Tucumcari Police Department. According to reports:

Wednesday
l At 8:06 a.m., a fire alarm was reported at the elementary school on South Eleventh Street. Firefighters checked the building and advised that all was OK and the students were allowed back into the building.
l At 1:28 p.m., a female reported a shoplifter at a retail store on West Tucumcari Boulevard. An officer advised a male subject not to return to the store.
l At 11:49 p.m., a female reported a fight at a lounge on West Route 66. A male subject was arrested and taken to the Quay County Detention Center for resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.

Thursday
l At 1:34 a.m., an officer reported a fight on South Fourth Street. The officer advised that it was a fight between two juvenile males and they were released to their parents.
l At 4:42 a.m., a male reported a domestic dispute at a residence on South First Street. An officer advised that all was OK. Two citations were issued to the residents for possession of drug paraphernalia.
l At 10:36 a.m., a female reported vandalism on East Hancock Street. An officer advised that a residence had been spray painted.
l At 11:31 a.m., an officer requested a warrant check on a male subject walking down South Eighth Street. The officer was told by the dispatcher that the male subject had an outstanding Municipal Court warrant. The male subject was arrested and taken to the Quay County Detention Center.
l At 12:11 p.m., a female reported a wanted subject at the juvenile probation office on South Third Street. A male subject was arrested for an outstanding Magistrate warrant.
l At 1:10 p.m., an officer reported a possible domestic dispute on South Jackson Street. The officer advised that all was OK that it was an argument between a male and female and the female was leaving for the night.
l At 2:03 p.m., a female reported a wanted subject at the Quay County Magistrate Court on South Third Street. One male subject was arrested for an outstanding warrant.
