01-19-2008: Police Blotter

The following is a sample of calls received during the last few days by the central dispatch office for Quay County, based at the Tucumcari Police Department. According to reports:

Monday
l At 1:35 p.m., an officer requested a warrant check on a male subject walking on South Third Street. The officer was told by the dispatcher that the male subject had an outstanding Magistrate Court warrant. The male subject was arrested and taken to the Quay County Detention Center.
lAt 4:26 p.m., an officer served a warrant at a residence on South Fourth Street. A male subject was arrested for an outstanding Magistrate Court warrant.

Tuesday
l At 10:06 a.m., an alarm was reported at a bank on South First Street. An officer advised that all was OK that one of the employees had accidentally set off the alarm.

Wednesday
l At 3:31 a.m., an alarm was reported a business on South First Street. An officer advised that all was OK and the building was secure.
l At 8:19 a.m., a male reported a theft at a truck stop on South Mountain Road. An officer advised that a battery cover had been stolen, but recovered, and a catwalk was missing.
l At 10:21 a.m., a female reported a hit and run accident at an apartment on South Eighth Street. One male subject was arrested and taken to the Quay County Detention Center for driving while intoxicated.
l At 10:49 a.m., a female reported vandalism on East Route 66. An officer advised that a window and glass back door had been shot with a BB gun.
l At 2:20 p.m., a male reported a burglary on South Lake Street. An officer advised that the window of a vehicle had been broken and a stereo was missing from the vehicle.
l At 6:50 p.m., a dispatcher reported a 911 hang up call from a residence on North Seventh Street. An officer made contact with the residents and advised that all was OK. There had been a verbal argument but the problem was resolved.

Thursday
l At 7:59 a.m., an anonymous caller reported vandalism in a alley on South Third Street. An officer advised that walls on the north and south side of the alley had graffiti on them.
l At 8:33 a.m., a male reported vandalism at a truck stop on South Mountain Road. An officer advised that the seal on the doors of a freight trailer was missing.
l At 10:21 a.m., a male reported vandalism on South Fifth Street. An officer advised there was graffiti on the north side of the building.
