01-26-2008: Police Blotter

The following is a sample of calls received during the last few days by the central dispatch office for Quay County, based at the Tucumcari Police Department. According to reports:

Tuesday
l At 5:49 p.m., an alarm was reported at a retail store on East Tucumcari Boulevard. An officer advised that all was OK. The building was secure.
l At 6:32 p.m., an alarm was reported at a museum on South Adams Street. An officer advised that all was OK.
l At 8:15 p.m., a female reported a shoplifter at aretail store on West Route 66. One male subject was cited for shoplifting.
l At 9:28 p.m., a female reported a domestic dispute at a residence on South Monroe Street. An officer advised that a male and female subject had been arguing. The male subject was leaving for the night.

Wednesday
l At 2:09 a.m., a male reported an unwanted subject at a fuel station on South First Street. An officer was told that a male subject was harassing the clerk. The officer told the male subject to leave the store.
l At 3 a.m., an officer reported vandalism at a retail store on West Route 66. The officer advised that there was graffiti on the back of the building.
l At 5:59 a.m., an alarm was reported at a retail store on South Adams Street. An officer advised that the building was secure and all was OK.
l At 2:45 p.m., a female reported a domestic dispute at a residence on East Harmon Street. An officer advised the parties to stay away from each other.
l At 3:14 p.m., an officer served three warrants at a residence on East Turner Street. One male subject and two female subjects were arrested and taken to the Quay County Detention Center.
l At 11:11 p.m., an officer conducted a routine traffic stop on South Rock Island Street. One female subject was arrested for an outstanding warrant and taken to the Quay County Detention Center.

Thursday
l At 8:19 a.m., a male reported vandalism at an office on South First Street. An officer advised that a window on a van had been broken out.
l At 10:37 a.m., an officer requested a warrant check on male subject walking on South Third street. The officer was told by dispatch that the male subject had an outstanding warrant. The male subject was arrested and taken to the Quay County Detention Center.
