Fees from annexation to zoning admendments will cost more beginning Feb. 1.
Increases were approved by the Tucumcari City Commission on Thursday night on the recommendation of the city’s Planning and Development departments. The fees correspond with the city’s new Unified Developement Code, said Development director Doug Powers.
Some fees will double, or be quintupled, Powers said. A fence permit went from $5 to $25. The increases allow the city to recoup its costs for site visits, legal ads, staff time and other processing costs, Powers said.
The new permit fees are:
l Major new construction $50
l Minor alteration, repair, addition $25
l Annexation $200
l Planning/Platting Subdivision
Preliminary, $100, Final, $100
l Street/Alley Vacations, Openings $150
l Zoning Amendments $150
l Conditional Use $150
l Variance $150
l Mobile Home Park $100
l Wireless Communications Tower $50
l Fence Permit $25
