02-06-2008: Police Blotter

The following is a sample of calls received during the last few days by the central dispatch office for Quay County, based at the Tucumcari Police Department. According to reports:

Friday
l At 11:33 a.m., a female subject reported two suspicious subjects at the library on South Second Street. An officer advised two male subjects to leave the area.
l At 4:04 p.m., a female reported vandalism at a retail store on East Route 66. An officer advised that there was a vehicle in the parking lot that had a window broken out.
l At 4:27 p.m., a female reported an assault victim at the emergency room on South First Street. One male subject was arrested by an officer and transported to the Quay County Detention Center for battery on a household member.
l At 1:50 a.m., an anonymous caller reported a fight at a lounge on West Route 66. An officer advised that it was all OK. It was a verbal argument that had moved outside.
l At 11:37 a.m., a female reported vandalism on East Center Street. An officer advised that a window on a vehicle had been shot with a BB gun.
l At 4:49 p.m., a female reported an unwanted subject at a residence on South Jackson Street. An officer advised a female subject to leave the residence for the night.
l At 5:16 p.m., a male reported a theft on South McGee Street. An officer advised that a shed had been stolen from the property.
l At 10:58 p.m., an anonymous caller reported loud music on South Second Street. An officer advised that there was no loud music heard on South Second Street.

Sunday
l At 10:55 a.m., a male reported a burglary on South Eighth Street. An officer advised that four firearms had been stolen from the residence.
l At 11:14 p.m., a male reported a theft on South Monroe Street. An officer advised that two medications had been stolen from the residence.
l At 11:51 p.m., a female reported a domestic dispute on South Seventh Street. One male subject was arrested for battery on a household member.
