02-23-2008: Police Blotter

The following is a sample of calls received during the last few days by the central dispatch office for Quay County, based at the Tucumcari Police Department. According to reports:

Tuesday
l At 2:05 p.m., a male reported a suspicious subject at a residence on South Lake Street. An officer was told that a female subject was walking around the residence. The officer advised all was OK . The female subject was the cleaning lady.
l At 2:32 p.m., a male reported a theft at a residence on East Tucumcari Boulevard. An officer advised that a wallet, with $835 and some identification, had been stolen.
l At 4:45 p.m., a female reported a theft at a fuel station on South Mountain Road. An officer was told that a male subject had taken a television without paying. The officer advised that security tapes and information were collected.

Wednesday
l At 5:50 a.m., a female reported a drunk driver on East Tucumcari Boulevard. The officer located the vehicle and one male subject was arrested for DUI and transported to the Quay County Detention.
l At 10:47 a.m., an officer served a warrant at a residence on South Eleventh Street. One female subject was arrested for an outstanding Magistrate Court warrant.
l  At 3:12 p.m., a male reported a suspicious vehicle parked in front of a residence on South Seventh Street. An officer advised that the vehicle was not there when they arrived and the residence was secure.
l At 10:50 p.m., a female reported loud music at a residence on South Third Street. An officer made contact with the residents and advised them to turn the music down.
l At 10:53 p.m., a male reported harassment on East Tucumcari Boulevard. An officer advised that all was OK. Two male subjects had a verbal argument and it was resolved.

Thursday
l  At 12;35 p.m., a female reported suspicious subjects on East Main Street. An officer was told that three male subjects were driving down Main Street and were very rude. The officer made contact with the vehicle and one male subject was arrested and taken to the Quay County Detention Center for an outstanding warrant out of Dona Ana County.
l   At 1:36 p.m., an alarm was reported at a residence on West Washington Street. An officer advised that all was OK and the residence was secure.
