03-05-2008: Police Blotter

The following is a sample of calls received during the last few days by the central dispatch office for Quay County, based at the Tucumcari Police Department. According to reports:

Friday
l At 9:31 p.m., a male reported unwanted subjects at the bowling alley on South Lake Street. The officer advised that all was OK and that the subjects had left prior to their arrival
l At 11:02 p.m., a male reported a suspicious male juvenile at the parking lot of a motel on South First Street. The officer advised that all was OK. The male subject was staying at the motel with his family.

Saturday

l At 11:20 a.m., a female reported a dispute with a neighbor on South Sixth Street. The female told the officer that her neighbor had set traps in her yard. The officer advised the female that the city had set the animal traps.
l At 11:29 a.m., an alarm was reported at a motel on South First Street. Fire officials advised that all was OK. There was no fire.
l At 12:59 p.m., a female reported children playing in the street on South Third Street. The officer was told that the female subject almost backed into the children. The officer advised that they spoke with the children and with their parents, and that the children would stay out of the street.
l At 2:39 p.m., female reported a possible burglary on South Adams Street. An officer advised that there was damage to a window screen, rear storm door and one window was cracked.
l At 6:22 p.m., a male reported skateboarders at a bank on South First Street. An officer made contact with the skateboarders and advised them to leave.
l At 9:01 p.m., a female reported vandalism on South Seventh Street. An officer advised that someone had thrown eggs at the house.

Sunday
l At 2:05 a.m., a male reported a domestic dispute at a residence on East Laughlin Street. A female subject told officers that a female subject had kicked in her door. The female subject was arrested and taken to the Quay County Detention Center.
l At 9:39 a.m., a male reported vandalism on South Adams Street. An officer advised that a window on a vehicle had been broken.
l At 11:11 a.m., a female reported a domestic dispute at a residence on South Monroe. An officer advised that all was OK and that the parties had separated for the day.
l At 12:37 p.m., a male reported four-wheelers racing on South Park Street. An officer made contact with the subject and advised them to stay off the city roads.
l At 6:29 p.m., a female reported an intoxicated subject at a retail store on West Tucumcari Boulevard. A male subject was arrested and taken to the Quay County Detention Center for detox.
l At 9:59 p.m., an alarm was reported at a restaurant on East Tucumcari Boulevard. An officer advised that all was OK and that the building was secure.
l At 10:22 p.m., an alarm was reported at a retail store on East Route 66. An officer advised that all was OK and there was a possibility that the wind had set off the alarm.
