The following is a sample of calls received during the last few days by the central dispatch office for Quay County, based at the Tucumcari Police Department.
l At 1:13 a.m., the manager of a business on west Route 66 Boulevard reported a juvenile shoplifter.
l At 6:01 p.m., a male at a business on south Adams Street reported an unwanted subject.
l At 7:06 p.m., an anonymous caller reported two suspicious subjects walking around the old train depot.
l At 9:16 a.m., a female reported that she had hit a fire hydrant.
l At 10:54 a.m., a male reported a burglary on south Seventh Street.
l At 11:05 a.m., a female reported chickens were loose on Main Street. The owner of the chickens said they’d taken be to the country.
l At 11:16 a.m., several callers reported a grass fire in the median of Interstate 40 near Eleven Mile Road. The fire was contained.
l At 1:08 p.m., an individual came into the Tucumcari Police Department to report that someone had broken into his residence.
p.m., an anonymous caller reported that there was a possible prowler on south Second Street.
l At 10:16 p.m., an anonymous caller reported a fight on south First Street.
l At 6:37 a.m., a female reported a verbal argument between a male and female on east Rock Island.
l At 7:43 a.m., a female reported that a horse was down and stuck under a bar in a back stall at the Quay County Fairgrounds.
l At 1:27 p.m., a female requested that an officer to come to east Route 66 in reference to a theft.
l At 7:06 p.m., a female on west Miel de Luna reported that a subject had a gunshot wound.
l At 7:35 p.m., a female brought a MP3 player to the Tucumcari Police Station that she had found on the football field.
At 10:42 p.m., a female reported that her house on south Date Street had been burglarized between 8 p.m. and 10 p.m.
At 11:09 p.m., an anonymous caller reported that subject appeared to have been assaulted on Fourth Street.
