11-12-2008: Fishing Report

This fishing report has been generated from the best information available from officers and anglers. Conditions encountered after the report is compiled may differ, however, as stream, lake and weather conditions alter fish and angler activities.

Conchas Lake
Fishing was slow-to-fair using minnows, spoons and crank baits for white bass. A few walleye were taken by anglers using spoons. Fishing for smallmouth bass was slow-to-fair using tubes, grubs and crank baits. There were no reports on other species.

Ute Lake
Fishing for white bass was fair using jigs, spoons and blade baits at 30-to 35-feet. A few walleye were also taken on spoons. Fishing for catfish was fair using spoons, liver and night crawlers. Fishing was fair using tubes, worms, baby brush hogs an dcrank baits and worms for smallmouth bass.

There were no “Catches of the Week” for Conchas and Ute lakes.
