11-19-2008: Police Bloter

The following is a sample of calls received during the last few days by the central dispatch office for Quay County, based at the Tucumcari Police Department.

Friday
l At 12:47 p.m., a male reported that the locks had been cut off of several of the storage lockers on south Eleventh Street.
l At 4:26 p.m., a female came to the Tucumcari Police Department to report that her computer had been stolen from her house.
l At 6:44p.m., a female reported that another semi had backed into her car at a business on Mountain Road.
l At 8:18 p.m., a clerk at a business on east Route 66 Boulevard reported that a female subject had paid with a fake $50 bill. An officer advised the other subject in the party would make restitution for what was owed.
l At 11:33 p.m. an anonymous caller reported the theft of four 30-packs of beer at a business on east Route 66 Boulevard.
l At 10:47 a.m., an anonymous caller reported a burglary on Quay Road 63.4. An unknown subject or subjects had gained entry through a back door and ransacked the residence, and two jewelry boxes, a Bearcat scanner and a fax machine were taken. The stereos were taken out of the vehicles, the sunroof of one vehicle was torn out, and several old knives were missing from a storage shed.
