12-03-2008: Police Blotter

The following is a sample of calls received during the last few days by the central dispatch office for Quay County, based at the Tucumcari Police Department.

Friday
l At 12:38 a.m. a female reported a possible burglary at her house on south Second Street. She said that she was sitting in the den with the lights on when a male subject came up to the house and shined a flashlight in the window. She turned the porch light on and off a few times and the subject went down the alley. The caller requested an officer to check the alley.
l At 8:36 a.m., a female employee of a business on east Route 66 Boulevard reported that a subject had given her a phony traveler’s check.
l At 12:21 p.m., a female on east Miel De Luna Avenue requested an officer be sent to the ER to take a dog bite report.
l At 1:48 p.m., a female came to the Tucumcari Police Department to report someone had stolen the plate off of her truck.
