It’s a high-tech world and Santa’s workshop is no different. He and his elves have apparently had to learn a whole new vocabulary that includes microchips and SIM cards to please today’s kids.
And Tucumcari’s youth are no exception.
Kids still ask for baseball gloves, baby dolls and bicycles, but today’s first graders seem to be just as smitten by the electronic bug as their parents. Tops on the kids’ lists are mp3 players and game systems from Nintendo DS to the Wii.
