10-10-2008: Police Blotter

The following is a sample of calls received during the last few days by the central dispatch office for Quay County, based at the Tucumcari Police Department.

Tuesday
l At 9:42 a.m., a male requested a welfare check on a horse on east Laughlin Avenue. The owner of the horse had been given a warning to move the horse. An officer advised that the horse had been moved.
l At 11:51 a.m., a female reported a loose goat on north Second Street at Maple Avenue. An officer reported that the owner had caught the goat and put it up. The owner was given a warning.
l At 1:37 p.m., a male requested an officer to stand by while he served an eviction notice on east Whitmore Avenue.
l At 3:12 p.m., a male reported that two brown and white pit bull dogs had killed another dog at Dunn Park and they were still running loose. An officer advised that he could not locate the dogs.

Wednesday
l At 4:37 p.m., a female called from east Center Street and reported misuse of a city gas card. The caller said the card was reported missing but had been used several times since being reported missing.
l At 6:25 p.m., a female reported that someone had thrown something through her kitchen window on south Second Street. She said that it was the second time it had happened.
