01-21-09: Police Blotter

The following is a sample of calls received during the last few days by the central dispatch office for Quay County, based at the Tucumcari Police Department.

Friday
l At 4:44 p.m., the New Mexico State Police reported that a car had hit a gas meter on south Monroe Street and advised that it was leaking a lot of gas.

Saturday
l At 2:02 a.m., a male reported a fight between two female subjects and two male subjects near a business on west Tucumcari Boulevard, and that there were about 12 people around the fight and a knife was involved.
l At 6:08 p.m., a male requested an officer to a business on west Railroad Avenue. The caller reported that items stolen from his vehicle were at that business.

Sunday
l At 12:22 a.m., a male reported that someone had broken out his window on east Aber Avenue.
l At 1:22 a.m., a male reported that a semi had jackknifed on Mountain Road near Interstate 40.
l At 2:48 a.m., an anonymous caller reported that a vehicle carrying five juvenile males had almost run into a store on east Tucumcari Boulevard, and one passenger in the vehicle was drinking a Bud Light. An officer advised that the vehicle could not be found.

Monday
l At 1:26 a.m., female requested an officer to a business on Mountain Road. She said her vehicle had just been hit by a semi.
l At 7:18 p.m., several callers reported suspicious subjects who were going door-to-door selling vacuum cleaners.
