T.J. Riddle selected for outstanding 4-H lifetime volunteer award

Thelma Jo Riddle, a 4-H leader for 20 years in Quay County, was selected as the New Mexico recipient of the 2009 Salute To Excellence Award.

This award recognizes 4-H volunteers who demonstrate exemplary service to 4-H, while promoting service through volunteerism as both an opportunity and a privilege, according to a press release from 4-H.

T.J., as she is known, is active in the 4-H Horse Program and has served in county level positions and as a 4-H club leader.

Her enthusiasm and organizational skills have been a model for the 4-H members and their families, the release said.
