The following is a sample of calls received during the last few days by the central dispatch office for Quay County, based at the Tucumcari Police Department.
l At 8:37 a.m., a male called the Quay County Sheriff’s office and requested to speak to a deputy concerning a recovered wood stove.
l At 4:44 p.m., a male reported that his ex-girlfriend was making harassing phone calls to his residence on south Fifth Street.
l At 5:05 p.m., a female reported that she was at a business on west Route 66 Boulevard and another female with a child was there trying to fight her.
l At 7:18 p.m., a female reported that the driver of green car with one passenger was driving erratically and had run a stop sign on south First Street.
l At 8:54 p.m., a female called from a restaurant on east Route 66 Boulevard and reported that a car stereo and a pair of gloves had been stolen from her vehicle while it was parked on east Main Street.
l At 9:04 p.m., a female reported that she could hear a man yelling and cursing and trying to force his way into a house on south Second Street.
l At 5:33 a.m., a female reported that she had seen someone trying to break into a car on east Main Street.
l At 12:38 p.m., a female reported an accident with no injuries at a business on east Route 66 Boulevard. She requested an officer to make a report.
l At 3:30 p.m., a male reported his cell phone was missing and he wasn’t sure whether the phone was lost, or it had been stolen.
l At 4:35 p.m., a male requested an officer to the intersection of Lake Street and Whitmore Avenue because he had seen hypodermic needles in the street.
l At 4:54 p.m., a female came to the Tucumcari Police Department to report that her ex-husband had taken her cell phone and would not return it.
l At 7:15 p.m., a female reported a shoplifter and requested an officer to a business on west Tucumcari Boulevard.
At 6:45 p.m., a female came to the Tucumcari Police Department and requested to speak to an officer about pressing charges against someone for spitting in her daughter’s face.
l At 8:20 p.m., an anonymous caller reported a fight between her father and brother and requested an officer to a residence on east Main Street.
l At 9:39 p.m., an anonymous caller reported persons fighting in front of a building on east Center Street.
l At 9:39 p.m., several anonymous callers reported a large group of juveniles congregated at the North Side Park and that a group of boys were fighting.
