The following is a sample of calls received during the last few days by the central dispatch office for Quay County, based at the Tucumcari Police Department.
At 10:44 a.m., a female employee of a business on east Route 66 Boulevard requested an officer in reference to a possible shoplifting incident. The caller said some customers were looking at jewelry, and that a ring was now missing.
At 10:13 p.m., a female on west Chenault Avenue reported that a dog had bitten her.
At 7:03 a.m., a female requested an officer to her residence on south Eighth Street in reference to a break-in that happened while she was out of town.
At 1:07 p.m., a female came to the Tucumcari Police Department to report a missing or stolen wallet.
At 6:25 p.m., a female requested an officer to her residence on south Fifth Street in reference to juveniles shooting at her house with a BB gun.
At 7:35 p.m., an employee at a business on south First Street reported an intoxicated subject by the coke machine
inside the business.
At 9:01 p.m., a female reported hearing a gunshot on south Seventh Street. Officers advised they found no suspicious subjects in the area.
At 2:28 a.m., an anonymous caller reported loud music in the alley on south Third Street. An officer advised that the subjects playing the music agreed to turn down the volume.
At 7:40 p.m., an anonymous female came to the Tucumcari Police Department to report her child missing. Officers located the missing child and returned the girl to her home.
At 11:59 p.m., the State Police reported that a motor home was on fire at the Bard Exit on east Interstate 40.
At 1:32 a.m., a male reported that a vehicle was going west in the east bound lane of Interstate 40 at mile marker 334. A Tucumcari Police officer advised that a male subject was arrested for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and reckless driving.
At 3:05 p.m., an anonymous caller reported that four subjects were arguing in the alley behind a business on east Tucumcari
