The following is a sample of calls received during the last few days by the central dispatch office for Quay County, based at the Tucumcari Police Department.
l At 8:42 p.m., a female requested an officer to her residence on south Seventh Street to talk with her two sons who told her a woman had pointed a gun at them earlier in the day.
l At 11:04 a.m., a male reported to the Rural Fire Department that there was a grass fire on US Highway 54 in the ditch between mile markers 311 and 312.
l At 11:24 a.m., a male reported that the windows at a business on south First Street had been shot with BBs.
l At 1:39 p.m., a male reported that his backpack containing his laptop computer and his car keys had been stolen at a classroom building on south Eleventh Street.
l At 7:36 p.m., the New Mexico State Police requested assistance from the Logan Police Department for the driver of a broken down truck on US Highway 54 at mile marker 331. A wrecking service was requested because the semi was blocking half of the westbound lane.
l At 8:21 a.m., a female reported an accident with no injuries on east Center Street in front of the Tucumcari Police Department.
l At 2:08 p.m., an officer advised there was a stalled vehicle blocking traffic at the intersection of Third and Aber streets. The owner requested a tow truck.
