Budding community garden plans growing

The ground under Ed Perea’s feet at Turner and Seventh streets doesn’t look like much.

But with a sweep of his hand, Perera points out the long horizontal space on the 100 x 50 foot lot where he envisions lush tomatoes and other vegetables ripening in the sun.
