The following is a sample of calls received during the last few days by the central dispatch office for Quay County, based at the Tucumcari Police Department.
lAt 8:56 a.m., a male reported a customer at a gas station on east Tucumcari turned in a wallet he found on gas pumps.
l At 3:16 p.m., an anonymous caller reported a minor accident with no injuries on east Tucumcari Boulevard. An officer reported the subjects involved exchanged information.
l At 7:12 p.m., a male requested an officer come to a motel on east Estrella Avenue for possible theft of items from a room.
l At 8:55 p.m., several callers reported a fight on the east side of the high school gym on west Hines Avenue.
l At 3:12 p.m., an officer requested an ambulance to a residence on south Fourth Street for a laceration on a female’sleg. The female subject was transported to the hospital.
l At 3:32 p.m., a male reported his pickup truck vandalized on east Hancock Avenue.
l At 3:47 p.m., a male reported an accident with injuries on west Route 66 Boulevard. The caller said he had wrecked his bike and wasn’t sure exactly where he was but had gone past the last exit to Interstate 40 going west. A medical unit advised the subject was transferred to the hospital.
l At 7:22 p.m., the Quay County Sheriff’s Office received a call from the New Mexico State Police requesting a deputy respond to a dispute between two drivers at the westbound 357 Mile Marker near the San Jon port of entry. One party said the other party ran him off the road. There was no damage.
l At 8:03 p.m., an anonymous caller reported a vehicle hit the side of a housing authority building on east Turner Avenue. An officer advised a tow truck was called to remove the car from the building.
l At 5:27 p.m., an anonymous caller reported two subjects were walking around the parking lot at a business on west Route 66 Boulevard attempting to open car doors. An officer made contact and both were served with no trespass orders.
l At 11:12 p.m., a male reported someone smashed a window and appeared to be staying in a vacant apartment on west Tucumcari Boulevard.
l At 2:57 p.m., a San Miguel County officer requested the Conchas ambulance on Bell Ranch Road for a motor vehicle accident with two injuries. State Police requested an ambulance for a female with head injuries.
l At 8:39 a.m., a female came to the Tucumcari Police Department to report her purse stolen out of a shopping cart the day before at a business on west Tucumcari Boulevard.
l At 9:20 a.m., a male requested an officer to his residence on south Sixth Street in reference to vandalism of his fence.
l At 10:26 a.m., a male requested an officer to the west side of the Tucumcari Detention Center for vandalism to the building.
l At 3:12 p.m., a female came to the Tucumcari Police Department to report a male juvenile subject tried to stab her son while he was playing at the North Side Park.
l At 7:29 p.m., a male reported a transformer behind his residence on south Monroe Street was sparking and had started a grass fire. An officer advised Xcel Energy was contacted and fire units were dispatched.
