06-06-09: Police Blotter

The following is a sample of calls received during the last few days by the central dispatch office for Quay County, based at the Tucumcari Police Department.

Tuesday
l At 8:26 a.m., a male reported a domestic violence incident on south Canal Drive. A Quay County Sheriff’s deputy advised a male subject was taken to the Quay County Detention Center.
l At 9:12 a.m., a male reported tires slashed on his vehicle on south Third Street.
l At 11:50 a..m., a male visited the Tucumcari Police Department to add a name to a complaint about people stealing his medications.
l At 6:03 p.m., a male reported that while he was standing outside on west Hines Avenue, a male subject pulled up in a little red car, jumped out and tried to stab him. An officer went to the scene and conducted a welfare check.
l At 6:32 p.m., a female reported a shoplifting incident at a business on south First Street.

Wednesday
l At 10: 25 a.m. , a male caller requested that officer meet him regarding vandalism, graffiti, on the old Zia School on east High Street.
l At 6:03 p.m, a female reported that an older model pickup came off of Eleventh Street, turned the corner at Charles Avenue and hit the fence.
l At 10:16 p.m., a Harding County officer advised that an antelope had been hit on Highway 419.
l At 10: 29 a.m., a Quay County Sheriff’s Office deputy advised a report was being taken about a theft occurred sometime between May 30 and June 1 on Quay Road BJ in Jordan. Stolen property included a Miller 225 gas-powered welder, a torch with fuel bottles and a homemade trailer .
l At 11:13 a.m., a Quay County Sheriff’s Office deputy advised an investigation of the fraudulent use of a credit card was being conducted on the 540 Loop in Logan.

Thursday
l At 12:32 p.m., an anonymous caller from a motel on east Route 66 reported a domestic violence incident in one of the rooms.
l At 1:26 p.m., a male reported tires on his vehicle slashed on west High Street.
l At 1:43 p.m., a caller reported a customer at the bus station was yelling at employees.
l At 3:13 p.m, an anonymous caller reported a female juvenile was using a grayish spray paint on the side of a two-story building on south Second Street.
l At 3:28 p.m., a female reported a small snake crawled up onto her engine compartment on east Route 66. An officer assisted the motorist.
l At 5:33 p.m., a female reported three children were missing and had been at a neighbor’s on south Fourth Street. The female said the kids had two dogs and bicycle with them. A state police officer advised the kids were at a store on west Route 66. Officials said the mother came and picked up two of the kids and a state police officer took the third home.
l At 5:57 p.m., a male reported someone stole his lawnmower at north Park Street.
