Aug. 12 – police blotter

Following is a sampling of calls recently received by the central dispatch office for Quay County, based at the Tucumcari Police Department.

Tuesday

• At 12:49 a.m., an officer reported a male subject on the ground at a hotel on East Tucumcari Boulevard. The officer advised that all was OK. The man was taking a nap and was advised to move on.

• At 3:31 a.m., a male reported shots fired at a residence on South Jackson Street. An officer was told a muzzle flash was seen outside the house. The officer advised the area was patrolled and all was OK.

• At 7:49 a.m., a female reported an intoxicated subject at a fuel station on South First Street. An officer was told the man was bothering customers. The man was taken to the Quay County Detention Center.

• At 9:06 a.m., an alarm was reported at an office building on South Seventh Street. An officer advised all was OK.

• At 2:06 p.m., a man was arrested at a residence on North Sixth Street for an outstanding warrant. The man was taken to QCDC.

Wednesday

• Blotter items were not reported.

Thursday

• At 10:57 a.m., a woman reported an unwanted subject at a residence on South First Street.

• At 2:10 p.m., a woman reported a theft at a residence on South Second Street.

• At 3:54 p.m., a man reported an intoxicated subject at a retail business on East Tucumcari Boulevard.

• At 8:06 p.m., a man reported a suspicious vehicle on South Fourth Street. An officer made contact with the driver and advised that all was OK.

• At 8:59 p.m., a female reported a burglary at a residence on West Campbell Street. An officer advised the back door of the residence had been kicked in but nothing was taken from the residence.

• At 9:20 p.m., a theft was reported at a retail store on South First Street. An officer was told two men only paid for a portion of the gas they pumped. The officer made contact with the subjects and restitution was made. One of the men was arrested for an outstanding magistrate-court warrant and taken to QCDC.

Friday

• At 1:18 a.m., an alarm was reported at a retail store on West Tucumcari Boulevard. An officer advised that all was OK.

• At 11:41 a.m., a woman reported a disturbance at a business on East Main Street. An officer was told a man was being irate.

• At 3:36 p.m., a fight was reported at a business on East Tucumcari Boulevard. An officer advised all was OK.

• At 10:43 p.m., a woman reported suspicious vehicles on South Garcia Street.

Saturday

• At 12:15 a.m., a woman reported a fight at a camp site on 540 Loop. One man was arrested and taken to QCDC.

• At 12:27 a.m., a drunken driver was reported on South Seventh Street. An officer patrolled the area and advised no contact with that vehicle.

• At 7:39 a.m., a man reported a burglary at a residence on South First Street. The officer was told someone broke into the garage.

• At 9:51 a.m., a man reported a suspicious subject on East Rankin Avenue. An officer was told a man was trying to open the door to a residence and walked away.

• At 1:14 p.m., a woman reported a domestic dispute on Goldfish drive.

Sunday

• At 12:01 p.m., a female reported a theft at a restaurant on South Mountain Road. An officer was told subjects left without paying their bill. The officer advised the subjects were located, restitution was made and the subjects were issued a criminal trespass order.

• At 2:48 p.m., an anonymous caller reported an erratic driver on South Fifth Street.

• At 6:53 p.m., a woman reported a domestic dispute at a residence on East Turner Street.

• At 8:24 p.m., a woman reported a possible burglary at a residence on South Laughlin Street. An officer advised a door was open and it was secured.
