The fishing report from New Mexico Wildlife Department is generated by officers and anglers.

Area lake reports:

Conchas Lake: Fishing was fair using senkos, swim baits, crank baits, worms and baby brush hogs for smallmouth bass and a few largemouth bass. Most of the bass were small again this past week. Fishing was fair-to-good using liver, cut bait, shrimp and minnows for catfish. Fishing was good using worms and poppers for bluegill. Fishing for white bass was slow-to-fair using jigging spoons and trolling crank baits. We had no reports on other species.

Ute Lake: Fishing was very good using slab spoons at 30-to-40 feet for white bass. Anglers fishing for white bass also caught a few walleye. Fishing was fair using liver, shrimp and cut bait for catfish. Fishing was good using worms and minnows for bluegill. Fishing was slow-to-fair using power worms, salt craws, spinner baits and top water lures for smallmouth bass. We had no reports on other species.
