Roundup: Tucumcari got back on the winning track with a 39-7 victory against Loving on Friday night. Logan suffered its first loss of the season, 20-12, to Tatum. House won for the fourth straight time with a 54-6 win against Evangel Christian Academy. San Jon did not play.
Stars: Tucumcari running back George Montano had four rushing touchdowns and receiver Jakus Martinez had a touchdown catch and a punt return for a score. He also recorded two interceptions. … Logan’s Tanner Sorrels had a kickoff return and a receiving touchdown. Quarterback Truitt Frost threw a touchdown pass. … House wide receiver Bobby Lee had two receiving touchdowns, a rushing touchdown and a kickoff return for a touchdown. Quarterback Dustin Provencio threw for two touchdowns.
Just sayin’: “We run the wildcat (offense) a lot because it gets our fast players on the field,” Martinez said.

As it stands: Tucumcari, Logan and House are 4-1. San Jon is 1-1.
What’s next: Tucumcari plays Estancia at 7 p.m. Friday. “They are a good matchup for us,” Tucumcari coach Daniel Hutchins said.
Logan has a home game against Menaul at 7 p.m. Friday. “They have a lot of size and will present a good challenge for us,” Burns said.
House travels to play Hondo Valley at 6 p.m. Friday. “We are going to have to put a big number up there to be in the game,” Bonds said.
San Jon goes on the road to play the New Mexico School for the Deaf at 4 p.m. Friday
