10-7 Police blotter

Following is a sampling of calls recently received by the central dispatch office for Quay County, based at the Tucumcari Police Department.

Sept. 30

• At 6:04 a.m., an anonymous caller reported shots fired on Laguna Circle. Officers patrolled the area and advised that all was OK.

•At 8:57 a.m., a woman reported a burglary of a vehicle at an apartment on the 700 block of East Sunset Avenue. An officer was told a stereo had been stolen. The officer advised a second vehicle had the stereo stolen out of it.

• At 9:05 a.m., a woman reported a man with an outstanding Magistrate warrant at the Magistrate Court on the 100 block of West Center Street. A man was arrested and taken to the Quay County Detention Center.

• At 9:06 a.m., a man reported vandalism at a business on the 700 block of West Campbell Street. An officer advised a window on a vehicle had been busted.

•At 11:04 a.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on the 900 block on East Main Street. One man was arrested and taken to QCDC for an outstanding warrant.

•At 11:40 a.m., a woman reported a theft at a retail store on the 400 block of East Tucumcari Boulevard.

•At 3:39 p.m., a woman reported an attempted burglary at an apartment on the 700 Block of West Sunset Avenue.

• At 9:35 p.m., a man reported a stolen vehicle at a fuel station on the 1800 block of South Mountain Road.

Thursday

•At 12:05 a.m., a woman reported vandalism at a residence on the 1300 block of South Monroe Street. An officer was told someone had thrown something through a window.

• At 12:13 a.m., a woman reported vandalism at a residence on the 1600 block of South Second Street. An officer advised that someone had thrown a board through a window.

• At 6:49 a.m., an alarm was reported at the high school on the 1100 block of South Seventh Street. An officer advised that all was OK.

• At 7:12 a.m., a man went into the PD on the 200 block of East Center Street to report vandalism. An officer was told a brick had been thrown through a window at a residence.

• At 7:23 p.m., a man reported a prowler at a residence on the 400 block of South Sixth Street. An officer was told that a man wearing a Halloween mask was behind the house.

•At 8:18 p.m., a woman reported suspicious activity at a residence on the 900 block of South Monroe Street. An officer was told that someone was in a house that should be vacant.

Friday

• At 12:04 a.m., a man reported a burglary of a vehicle on the 2300 block of South Fourth Street.

• At 2:18 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop at the corner of South Second Street and East Gamble Street. One woman was arrested and taken to QCDC for an outstanding warrant.

Saturday

• At 12:55 p.m., an anonymous caller reported drug activity at a residence on the 1100 block of South Fifth Street. An officer was told that someone was smoking marijuana in the back yard of the residence.

• At 7:53 p.m., a man reported an attempted fraud at a retail store on the 100 block of West Route 66. An officer was told a man tried to give the clerk a fake $100 bill.

Sunday

• At 1:04 a.m., An officer conducted a traffic stop on the 800 block of West Tucumcari Boulevard. A man was arrested and taken to QCDC.

• At 11:17 a.m., a man reported a burglary at a residence on the 300 block of South Third Street. One man was arrested and taken to QCDC.

• At 7:46 p.m., a woman reported harassment at a residence on the 600 block of East Laughlin Street.

• At 9:25 p.m., a woman reported an intoxicated man on the 200 block of East Center Street. A man was taken to the QCDC.
