The fishing report from New Mexico Wildlife Department is generated by officers and anglers.
Area lake reports:
Conchas Lake: Fishing pressure was very light and fishing was slow for all species. A few walleye were taken by anglers using spoons and crank baits.
Ute Lake: Fishing was fair-to-good using slab spoons and blade baits at 35-to-40 feet for walleye and white bass. Fishing was slow-to-fair using slab spoons and cut bait for catfish. Fishing for largemouth bass and smallmouth bass was slow-to-fair using crank baits, drop shot worm rigs and jigs.
Clayton Lake: We had no reports from anglers this week.
Oasis Park Pond: Fishing was slow for all species.
Santa Rosa Lake: Fishing was slow but there were a few bass and walleye caught by anglers using smallie beavers, chigger craws, tubes and crank baits. We had no reports on other species.
Sumner Lake: Fishing was slow for all species.
Bosque Redondo: We had no reports from anglers this week.
