Thursday’s meeting related to Tucumcari High School Principal David Castillo has been canceled, school officials announced Monday.

The Tucumcari school board had scheduled the meeting at Castillo’s request. It was not immediately clear who asked the meeting be canceled.

Castillo has been on paid administrative leave since Nov. 11, following allegations of administrative misconduct.

School officials have declined to provide details about the alleged misconduct.

Jack Burch, a former superintendent of Elida Schools, is serving as the high school principal.
