Press release: Dinosaur museum letting in kids free

Mesalands Community College’s Dinosaur Museum will be celebrating National Fossil Day by giving free admission to visitors under the age of 12 Oct. 12-16, 2010. Young visitors must be accompanied by an adult and they will receive a free grab bag of invertebrate fossils and toys.

Axel Hungerbuehler, museum curator, said fossils recently received from the Fossil Butte National Monument are quality specimens that are a great addition to the museum. He says participating in National Fossil Day will give the Museum the chance to promote the value of fossil research and education.

The National Fossil Day activities at the Dinosaur Museum are sponsored by Fossil Friends and other museum volunteers.
