The Tucumcari chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution was honored to have two state essay winners. Kamelia Lamm’s essay on Paul Revere was the fifth-grade winner of the American History Essay Contest. Kamelia and her mother, Jodie Lamm, were able to attend the state conference, where Kamelia read her essay.
Blake Moon, junior at House High School, was the State Winner of the Christopher Columbus Essay Contest for high school students. Due to other commitments, Blake was unable to attend the state conference.
