Company donates resources to youth football league

Interstate Automotive Complex of Tucumcari is partnering with Quay County Youth Football League to provide the league’s players and coaches with equipment, a monetary donation, and a chance to raise up to $10,000.

In support of Tucumcari’s youth, Interstate Automotive Complex will provide Quay County Youth Football League with football kits, which include equipment bags, 5-gallon water coolers, a first-down marker chain set, helmet-sticker decals, and T-shirts.

Offering additional support to the community, Quay County Youth Football League will have the opportunity to raise as much as $10,000 through a fundraising opportunity where one recipient in the south central region of the country will win a new 2012 GMC Terrain.

Interstate Automotive Complex and other Amarillo-area GMC dealerships in the region are donating the vehicle to the participating leagues.

All proceeds go directly to the participating leagues, and they can use the funds in any way they choose. Some of the leagues have reported they plan to grant scholarships to families who cannot afford to enroll their children in the league, while others have said they will use the funds to improve fields and equipment.

“GMC and youth football. It’s a great combination,” says Joey Haas of Interstate Automotive Complex. “We are proud to be able to help the kids in our community by donating equipment and giving them the opportunity to raise much needed funds for their league. We are excited to be part of the effort this year, and anticipate a fun-filled season of Quay County Youth Football League football.”
