Elks announce cerebral palsy program

Special to QCS

Tucumcari Elks Lodge 1172 in conjunction with the New Mexico Elks Association are pleased to officially announce that the Cerebral Palsy Commission has implemented a new program emphasizing helping those in need on a local level.

Under the new program, funds will be made available for equipment and modifications to equipment and facilities for those with cerebral palsy. This could be the purchase of a wheelchair or walker, modifications to equipment (such as wheelchair lights), or modifications to facilities (special needs bath remodels, etc.).

We are excited to provide this much needed service to the people in our community.

Visit http://nmelks.org/cpapplication.pdf for applications. Once filled out, hand deliver or mail your application to Tucumcari Elks Lodge, 2118 S. Adams, Tucumcari, or contact Lodge CP Chairman Raymond Parker at 575-461-3878 for additional information.

Please allow 3-4 weeks for processing. If approved, funds will be made available to vendors or contractors. Funds cannot be sent directly to an individual or family.

Cerebral palsy is the major project for the New Mexico Elks Association. The New Mexico Elks Association Cerebral Palsy Program has provided equipment and services throughout the state of New Mexico since 1951.
