rants also assist agencies in acquiring drug dogs and bullet proof vests.

This Year the Quay 4-H shooting program was fully funded. The money is used to purchase ammunition, targets and firearms for the 4-Hers to be able to practice and participate in local, district and state competitions.

There are approximately 60 kids enrolled in the Quay County 4-H Shooting Sports program. They receive training in shooting and firearms safety and are able to compete in various competitions on the local, district and state level. Quay County generally has 15 to 18 senior 4-H members competing at the state level. The pistol team from Quay County placed third in the state last year and Quay County had several High-Point individuals.

The banquet is not a membership drive or a political function and is open to the public. The banquet is one of the most highly supported events in Quay County and is a fundraiser, with proceeds going to help fund programs like the Quay County 4-H Shooting Sports and to help in the protection of 2nd Amendment Rights.
