The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Conchas Lake is sponsoring a lakeshore cleanup Saturday in recognition of Public Lands Day, according to Erika Focht, a park ranger.
Activities begin with a sign-up and introduction at 9 a.m.
Cleanup activities will continue from 9:15 a.m. to noon, followed by “fun and games” from noon to 1 p.m., and dam tours starting at 1 p.m.
Volunteers will gather at 9 a.m. at the group shelter across from the Corps’ project office and are asked to bring refillable water bottles, work gloves, hats, sunscreen, snacks and bug spray, Focht said.
