Two Tucumcari residents were arrested in their homes and later charged with felony drug trafficking charges after simultaneous searches Thursday, according to a news release from District Attorney Tim Rose.

New Mexico State Police arrested June Anna Ysco-Salazar in her home at 1415 E. Rankin, and District Attorney’s investigators arrested Franchesca Saiz at her home, 1001 S. Rock Island, late Thursday night, the news release said.

Search warrants were served at both homes, and officers found methamphetamine and other evidence of drug trafficking in both locations, the news release said.

Salazar and Saiz remain in the Quay County Detention Center, the release said.
