According to the National Weather Service:
Quay County and surrounding areas are under a winter storm warning for heavy snow today. The warning remains in effect until 11 tonight.
Three to five inches of snow are expected in the northeast plains. Snow is expected to start this morning and continue through this evening, tapering off Friday morning. Significant winds are not expected.
